My name is Dave Burgess I became a
member of the Bahá'í Faith, in November 2002, I first learned
about the Faith two years before becoming a Bahá'í. Then when
reading some of the Bahá'í teachings, I found that they were
things that I also believed in. So I decided to make contact with the local
community. From the first meeting with the Bahá'ís I was made
welcome. Not only are the Bahá'ís active in their religion but
the religion is active in trying to improve things around the world for the
good of mankind. For me and anyone who wants to see this world become a better
place then the Bahá'í Faith is the religion to join. I have also
found help with the spiritual side of life and how to become a better person. I
live in Broadland if you want to contact me there is an email link at the base
of each page.
Read about my first ever pilgrimage. Greetings from Mojgan and Erfan. We have been members of the Bahá'í Faith for many years. In February 2003, my wife and me, embarked on our pilgrimage to the Holy land (Israel). This time was very special for us. The spiritual potency was palpable as we approached the Bahá'í Shrines with our fellow pilgrims, Bahá'ís from all over the world: Papua New Guinea, Guatemala, Australia, USA and Estonia just to name a few. The Shrines are places of inspiration and great spiritual energy. At the Shrines we remembered the Central Figures of our Faith, paid homage to Them, praised Them in adoration, prayed for humanity and world unity and peace, asked for forgiveness and blessings for our parents, family and friends, and unburdened ourselves of our selfish desires and vain imaginings reaching for our higher nature, we reflected on our lives and asked ourselves 'How could I promote the well-being of humanity?' and in meditation we came up with a plan of action. With the largest community being in Norwich.
